ASCE 70 Rail

ASCE 70 rail is an important model in the American standard (ASTM A1/AREMA standard) rail system, mainly used in scenarios such as railways, light rails, and industrial tracks. The “70” indicates that the weight of the rail per yard is 70 pounds, i.e., 70 lb/yd (approximately 34.65 kg/m). It belongs to heavy-duty rails and is suitable for high-load scenarios.

55Q: Yield strength ≥685 MPa, tensile strength ≥197 MPa, carbon content 0.50–0.60%. Better wear resistance.

U71Mn: Tensile strength ≥880 MPa, manganese content 1.10–1.40%. Excellent impact and fatigue resistance, suitable for heavy-load and high-frequency environments (e.g., mines, ports).

Fish Plates(Rail Joint Bar): ASCE70 rails are American Standard heavy rails (34.5 kg/m), which are normally fitted with double-ended fishtail plates. Suitable models of fishtail plates according to international standards include:

• QU70: designed for 70 kg/m class rails, compatible with ASCE70 load requirement 1315.
• 38kg, 43kg, 50kg: heavy rail fishtail plates classified by rail weight, suitable for industrial cranes, harbour rails and other high load scenarios.
• Length: ASCE70-suitable fishtail plates are typically 790-820 mm long, with a cross-sectional area of 26-30 cm² and a weight of approx. 15.57-18.72 kg per piece.
• Customised services: GLOEYCRANE offers solutions for special requirements such as insulated fishtail plates, cryogenic plates, etc., with customised lengths and hole diameters (e.g. 45° bevelling, drilling).

Rail Clamps/Rail Clip: Rail clamps are used to secure rails in place and prevent horizontal movement. GloryCrane supplies various types of rail clips, including: adjustable rail clamps; welded rail clamps; bolted rail clamps

Rubber Pads: Rubber baseplates are used beneath the rails to absorb vibration and shock, helping reduce noise and extend track life.
